This is the beach in Montezuma, a laid-back small town on the coast where there's no shortage of dreadlocks and Bob Marley t-shirts. We sort of reached a dead end here after a very sweaty day of cycling from the ferry in Paquera. Our plan had been to romantically follow the coastline and travel around the peninsula to Playa Samara, but it turned out that this was a journey only recommended for 4WD jeeps with enough clearance to cross waist-deep rivers. So new plans needed to be made.
